Carnival 1st Birthday Party
2 November 2016Breakfast At Tiffany’s Baby Shower
23 November 2016Yes, I am on a roll with my blog posts! Time is a little bit on my side this week and I decided to catch up. So after our Royal Princess 1st Birthday Party, we were asked to style a Royal Prince 1st Birthday Party and we were overjoyed! I have to mention that this client of mine is such a wonderful and beautiful woman inside and out. It was an absolute pleasure working with her. I was touched by the warmth she and her family showed to us on the day of the set up. God bless you and your family Mbali!
Royal Prince 1st Birthday Party Decor Details
My client chose to go with a navy blue and gold colour scheme with a touch of red. At first I wasn’t sure how these two colours would work together but if you have a look at the photos, you will see that they are a match made in heaven! I love how these two colours looked so great together as well as the contrasting difference. The touch of red worked perfectly in breaking up the gold and navy blue.
For the adult tables, we went with mirror runners along the tables as they are so elegant to work with. We had gold vases spread right across with white roses and some bluish flowers (I cannot remember the name!). Gold candelabras and gold frames finished the regal look we aimed to achieve.
For the kids table, we opt to keep it simple. We decided on gold mason jars with flowers inside laid on top of a gold beaded runner. Our dessert table as wow as always! Cookies, cupcakes and birthday cake.. all beautifully made to keep in the regal theme. The wind wasn’t our friend on that day – definitely played the devil’s advocate.

The Venue
The venue which my client chose fitted well with the theme – Ri’ Stretto in Morningside. I love their medieval decor and the whole ambience of the place. The best part of this restaurant is that it has a variety of kids play areas and a kids eating section as well. Which means mum and dad can have a meal in peace while the minders keep an eye on the kids. I am not sure how their food tasted as it was not halaal therefore did not grab a bite. But by the look of it, they looked delicious.
Client Review:
“Ishi, thank you so much. I had a fantastic time. The deco was fantastic. I really appreciate you making this day special. I look forward to working with you again in the near future 🙂” Mbali
