I hope that you are all enjoying Level One. I have been meaning to post this Luxe Black and Gold 40th Birthday Lunch blog post but unfortunately it’s been a really terrible week this past week. 2020 has not been kind to anyone. Although there are some blessings in this year and still lots to be grateful for, 2020 has really taken it’s toll. One of our family has sadly passed away this past Saturday, 26 September. This man was nothing short of a legend. Pre-lockdown, we were always hanging out together, braaing every other weekend and going out together as a family. Our kids absolutely adores each other and always have a blast when we are all together. It was one of a kind of relationship that cannot be forged with just anyone. My family and his had such a special bond. We used to go on holiday together as well. Last week he invited us over for a surprise pool party and seafood braai in honour of his beautiful wife’s birthday. I was leaving my client’s home after a set up on 26 September to collect the surprise birthday cake he ordered for his wife when my dad called me to say he passed away from a heart attack. Devastation is an understatement. It’s extremely hard to accept that he is no more. I feel so angry that we were supposed to go to his house for a fun time and instead we attended his funeral. This past weekend, I was setting the table for us to eat and I was so heartbroken because every time I had set the table in his house, it was either for his famous briyani or braai not his funeral. I feel angry that COVID and the lockdown stole so much precious time from our families. He left behind an amazing wife and three wonderful kids.

So if you haven’t received your quote or your email has not been responded to, you know why. I am slowly getting back in the grooves of things but we are all extremely sad to have lost such a wonderful soul who brought light to so many lives. Please bear with us if our responses are slow. We are back to normal working hours this week and will attend to your queries soonest.
