Cuban 40th Birthday Party

I have always wanted to style a cuban event – I love how chilled Cuba comes across and I am a huge fan of Camilla Cabello’s Havana song. So when this client approached me for this Cuban 40th Birthday party, I was thrilled! I love styling all of my events as they so much fun although they are highly stressful but I love transforming spaces and creating authentic themed party experiences. This is exactly what this Cuban 40th birthday party was all about!

Cuban 40th Birthday Party Decor

In brainstorming for this event, I wanted to create an authentic cuban experience for my clients and their guests. For me, it’s pointless to have a themed event if it won’t take a person back to that era or country etc.. So you know if you book a themed event with us, authenticity is key. Please do bear in mind that the day of this Cuban 40th Birthday Party, we were also styling a Game of Thrones 40th birthday party.. talk of stress right! Both parties started at the same time so you guys can imagine trying to be at two places at once! I will share the Game of Thrones 40th birthday party in another blog post.

Anyway, for our decor set up I opted to create a wooden feature with elements of Cuba. Our feature was not complete until the installation of our balloon garland – this is always a wow factor to my events. I have never been a fan of balloons but now I am obsessed with organic balloon garlands and so are my clients!

Marquee lit letters was a must and so trendy. We also used the string bulb lights inside the stretch tent above the dance floor. I really wanted to create a chilled out atmosphere and this was achieved by these additions. Delicious Monster leaf tablecloths adorned the tables with bright flower arrangements. We created two lounge pockets for guests to chill in – a bright yellow couch and a bright pink couches were our choice. And we all know, no party is ever a party without a dance floor! Our DJ was epic in entertaining the crowd.

Our client opted for authentic cuban food to be served – cigars were definitely lit to add the finishing touch to the evening!
