It’s been a while blogging, I have been awful keeping my blog up to date. Blame time management! I am sure like most of you, 24 hours a day just does not do it for me. Need more hours!

Seeing that it’s the time of year where most companies start planning year-end function, I thought it’s about time I share the Annual Awards which I had styled for Multichoice / Bytes People Solutions..  A bit of history here will help understand my story. My first and only job that I ever had was at a company called Inter-Active Technologies. I worked there for 6 years before I resigned and started Outlandish Events. So all that I learnt was from Inter-Active Technologies. It was hardcore but that’s another story for another day.

So… Inter-Active Technologies ended up being bought over by Bytes People Solutions. They used to specialise in call centres for various companies and Multichoice being one of them. Having worked for Inter-Active Technologies for 6 years and building relationships with so many colleagues, it was only an honour for me to be asked by one of my ex-colleague to plan their annual awards. The theme chosen was an Oscar themed event. The colour scheme was classic red, white, black and touches of gold. It was a red carpet event nothing short of wow.

The venue of choice was The Ruimsig Country Club – a venue I would highly recommend to anyone looking to have an event. The inside of the venue could use a bit of love, but with draping, you can transform the room to almost anything to suit your vision.

Our MC for the day was the awesome Simba Gozo. Both Simba and I worked at Inter-Active Technologies and it was only wonderful to reconnect and do this event together. Simba is a true inspiration as he starts from humble beginnings. I am still in awe at what he has accomplished in a short space of time.
