A First for Johannesburg: Baby in Bloom

This year, Outlandish Events had the honour of curating and styling the highly anticipated Clicks Baby Shower – Baby in Bloom, hosted in Johannesburg for the very first time. Following the success of previous years in Cape Town, the event was a resounding celebration of motherhood, wellness, and community – and we were privileged to bring it to life on behalf of Frequent Media.

Our Whimsical Design: Giant Flowers and Balloon Backdrops

Seventy guests gathered for this unforgettable afternoon, surrounded by whimsical décor and immersive brand experiences. To set the tone, we designed and styled a magical stage with giant oversized flowers, creating a dreamy focal point that was both enchanting and celebratory. The photo backdrop, adorned with balloons and blooms, offered guests the perfect spot to capture their memories of the day.

Immersive Brand Activation Booths

Guests indulged in scrumptious catering while enjoying the full journey of the Clicks family of brands. We designed a variety of bespoke booths, each showcasing unique activations and stylings for Smudge, Clicks Baby, Clicks Fragrance, Sorbet, Earth, Health, Portia M, and the Clicks Tea Range. At each activation, guests were pampered, engaged, and gifted with beautifully curated goodie bags, a tangible reminder of the Clicks experience. Our role extended to every detail – from backdrops, flowers, catering, brand activations and décor to elegant signage – ensuring the event carried a polished and cohesive narrative.

Adding to the heartfelt atmosphere, guests also had the opportunity to share their own parenting tips and wisdom, creating a sense of connection and collective celebration.

Fun and Memorable Baby Shower Games

Of course, no baby shower would be complete without playful fun, and this celebration was no exception. Guests participated in engaging baby shower games, including Pop the Belly, Diaper Pong, Baby Feud, and Baby Bingo – sparking joy, laughter, and plenty of memorable moments.

The 2025 edition of Clicks Baby in Bloom was more than an event; it was a whimsical celebration of life’s most precious journey, infused with Outlandish Events’ signature luxury and creativity.
