Months of planning went into Ariana’s Carnival 1st Birthday Party – My client wanted a carnival theme but it had to be colourful and elegant at the same time. She was looking for a bespoke birthday party not your usual decor items that can be purchased anywhere! She wanted a very busy look and feel to create the excitement of being at a real life carnival. Our colour scheme were mostly pastels. I really liked the result of this event. Our venue was The River Cabin. However the weather turned out really bad on this day. There was a huge storm and the skies were grey and miserable – that kind of dampened our spirit but nevertheless, the Outlandish Events team pulled together and created this beautiful and elegant carnival set up.

If you follow my posts on a regular basis, you will know that we did many carnival set ups last year. So much so that we call ourselves the Master of Carnivals! Kiav’s and Arianna’s birthday parties were the same theme yet look how completely different they were.

Ariana’s Carnival 1st Birthday Party Decor

As you will see in the photos, we created a very busy set up with lots of plush carnival animals and beautiful flowers. All the stationery and backdrop were designed by Outlandish Events. Hoola Hoops and popcorn tubs were among a variety of our carefully selected decor items to fit in with the Carnival theme.

The centrepieces we used for the kids table were hanging clowns, which was a last minute decision to incorporate. However, it created such a beautiful effect and complimented this Carnival theme very well. Adults tables were beautifully set up with vases of fresh flowers as well as paper flowers. To achieve the elegant look my client was looking for in a Carnival set up, we used a lot of mirror boxes.

A variety of colourful pastel vases adorned the main dessert table filled with soft coloured fresh flowers. Some of the edibles that we had at the table were some pastel coloured macarons, carnival themed cookies with Arianna’s name beautifully displayed. We had the cutest cake pops ever – do check it out as they are little clowns! For cupcakes, we decided to go with candy floss and popcorn topping!

Ariana’s Carnival 1st Birthday Party Entertainment

For entertainment, we had stilt walkers welcoming guests as they arrived. The kids were treated to a magic show. We had a face painter decorating the cute little faces! We also brought in a Zorb Tracker for both adults and kids to have fun on. Babies were not left out as my client ensured that we had soft play area for them as well. And no party is ever complete without a Jumping Castle!

Food and Dessert

This 1st Carnival Birthday Party was surely not short of food. My client had a variety of delicious finger foods and dessert available for the guests. We also set up a waffle station for guests to enjoy.

After months of planning, it was amazing to see this event come together. The weather was a huge disappointment but nevertheless Outlandish Events created a memorable and special event for this little family to enjoy their daughter’s Carnival 1st Birthday Party.
